Department Head Search

Head, Department of Computer Science College of Engineering University of Cincinnati

Applications are invited for the position of Head of the Department of Computer Science.  The Head is expected to have a strong commitment to advancing research and education, to lead the development of innovative programs, especially joint ventures with other academic units, and to foster and strengthen external research support of the faculty from national funding agencies and academic partnerships with industry.

Instruction for Application

  1. Email a cover letter, curriculum vitae and contact information of three references, preferably in one PDF file, to CSHeadSearch@uc.edu.   All questions should also be sent to this email address.
  2. Complete an online application at the university Job Opportunities web site.  
    1. Go to: https://www.jobsatuc.com
    2. On the left side near the top, click on CREATE APPLICATION
    3. Choose Faculty Form and click GO.
    4. Choose a user name and password. Continue through until you have completed the Faculty Form.  Choose the University of Cincinnati West Campus as the preferred working site.  Upload a cover letter and resume during the process.  
    5. Once you have reached the Application Status page with the message "Login Successful!" click on SEARCH POSTING in the upper left corner.  In the Position Number field, enter 26UC2097 and then click SEARCH.
    6. Click on View to see the Position Information.
    7. Select Apply for this posting, which will lead you to supplementary questions.  
    8. You will be asked to attach your CV and cover letter.
    9. Select finished Attaching Documents.
    10. Answer Yes to the question "Are you sure you want to finish attaching documents?"
    11. Select OK for the acknowledgement.
  3. Your application is now complete.  If you want to update your application later, please do not try to update the web application record but send the documents to CSHeadSearch@uc.edu.
  4. You may view the position information without creating an application:
    1. Go to: https://www.jobsatuc.com
    2. On the left side near the top, click on SEARCH POSTINGS
    3. In the Position Number field, enter 26UC2097 and then click SEARCH.
    4. Click on View to see the Position Information.
