For the M.S. Degree in Computer Science, a student may work with any faculty member as an advisor.  A research topic agreed between the student and advisor is developed into a master's thesis (15 credits).  The required course work (30 credits) is usually completed in one year and the thesis in the following year.  More detailed information about the rules concerning the master's degree can be found by viewing the Degree Requirements.
