"In the Book", 1990, by artist Ray Paul. This painting is a portrait of the late Paul Erdős. Erdős remains an inspiring figure for many computer scientists. This painting was commissioned by the Mathematical Sciences Dept. at University of Cincinnati.

CS Department has an active research program. The main focus areas being pursued by faculty broadly cover the areas of algorithm design&analysis and theoretical computer science, wireless communications and sensor networks, and intelligent systems and data mining.
